One per cent population gets wedded every year. Going by that statistics, nearly 1.3 to 1.4 crore pairs tie a nupital knot(get wedded) every year. Less than one per cent are fat weddings, who splurge in few crores for the wedding.
Anand, who is born and brought up in Hyderabad, moved to Delhi along with his wife Mehak to set up wedmegood platform, which has 30 lakh people visiting this platform. Nearly 18000 vendors are profiled on this platform.

Anand is contemplating to put up his tech team at Hyderabad. Currently 50 people work for this platform. The platform which was launched in the year 2014 had become self-sufficient.
Joseph Radhik, a wedding photographer adept at capturing beauty and emotion, his brilliance earned him “Weddings-Global First Place” at the International Photography Awards 2015. Speaking on the occasion he said wedding photography is all about creating best memories out of the occasion. The photographer should understand that he needs to capture the real moment. The moment is temporary but the memories are forever.

Joseph was hired by Allu Arjun and Ramcharan for their weddings.
According to Priyanka Ganeriwal Arora, Chairperson, FICCI FLO Hyderabad Chapter, who herself is a wedding planner, wedding is a big industry in India. The Technology in Wedding is Changing the Wedding Industry. Innovative startups are disrupting the wedding industry. If India is known for anything in this whole full world, that is only for its tradition, colorful culture and its big fat weddings. The wedding is the most memorable occasion for which everyone looks best in everything. That is the reason why we have roped in four most sought-after professionals who revolutionalized this industry, to learn from them and get enlightened on the latest trends

The wedding industry in India is flourishing, and statistics corroborate the fact. Currently, the industry is over Rs 300,000 crore and is growing at 25-30% annually. The estimated cost of a wedding with no expenses spared could be between Rs 5 lakh to Rs 5 crore, in India. A person, in India, spends one-fifth of the wealth accumulated in a lifetime on a wedding ceremony said Priyanka Ganeriwal, FICCI Ladies Organisation Chairperson.

North Indians are tech savvy and are particular about details. South Indian weddings are mass weddings and the focus is more on jewellery. But, the trend across India is people are shying away from mass marriages. Weddings have become personal and fewer people are invited now a days said Devika Narain, India’s top wedding planner and event stylist, she specializes in high profile destination weddings. A feather in her cap is the recent Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma wedding.

She told Young wedding planners not to copy anybody’s, but, to develop their unique and own original style.
