Vidya Balan who sizzled in many a Hindi film is now shooting for the biopic on former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh and legendry actor NT Rama Rao. Speaking to the media on becoming the brand ambassador of Malta India Film festival 2018 she said, “I am bowled over by the professionalism of the Telugu film industry and I am having a great time shooting.
Vidya is playing the character of Basavatarakam, who is NTR’s wife.
“So, I am very excited for that. I have never delivered dialogues in other language apart from Hindi. “Earlier, I did special appearances for one-two scenes in Malayalam film but in this film, I have a full-fledged role.” Vidya is playing the character of Basavatarakam, who is NTR’s wife. I have shot for around five days for the film but it has been a really nice experience as the team is really good and professional. “
“We start shooting sharp at 9 a.m. and finish dot at 6 p.m. which is really an unique experience for me.”
The movie is being gathering a lot of news as the elections are round the corner. Vidya Balan would be essaying the role which would not be glamourous in any sense but is an opportunity for her to play a role of a woman who NTR adored and who played second fiddle all her life even as NTR rose to fame from being the most sought after actor and then in 1982 plunged into politics and ruled Andhra Pradesh.
