Famous civil rights activist Varavara Rao has finally got bail in Bhima Koregaon case. The Bombay high court has granted a conditional bail to Rao in the case for a period of six months. It asked Rao to reside in Mumbai and not leave it. It also asked him to follow all the bail conditions without fail.
The HC granted bail to Rao while responding to a bail petition filed by his wife Hemalatha on the grounds of ill health. The HC has asked Rao to either surrender before the police after the expiry of the bail period or file a fresh petition for the extension of the bail period. Rao is undergoing treatment at Nanavati Hospital. The supporters and followers of Rao have expressed their happiness over the grant of bail in the case.
