Health Minister Etala Rajender expressed displeasure and raised his voice for farmers and to procure the farm produce, Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today gave clarity that crops will be procured at purchase centers as usual. He said that they did not say to remove paddy procure centers anywhere. While Rajender said that the farmers are in a total confusion about procurement their produce by the government, Niranjan Reddy cleared it. He attended a program in Karimnagar here. Niranjan Reddy said that they will purchase paddy other crops from farming community. On Rajender comment he denied to react and added to ask the former. He said that they never said that the purchase centers will be removed.
He stated that the government not said to stop purchasing crop yields from the farmers. We are for purchasing the farm produce through these centers. The farmers can bring their produce now to these centers to sell for MSP he said. We only said that additional purchase centers which were opened during Corona pandemic period will be removed, he said.
The minister said that he never said anything against the purchase of farm produce in the state.
The agriculture minister asserted that they will purchase the farm produce and the farmers can get the produce to sell as usual. The purchase centers are meant for buying farm produce and not to deny, he clarified.
