Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated on grand nite across Telangana state and in Hyderabad.
In the city Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao, and other opposition leaders paid rich tributes to Gandhiji at Bapu Ghat here.
They all offered flowers at the site to mark the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. They recalled Gandhi teachings, and ideals for a prosperous India with freedom to women, girls, poor and empowerment and all round development. To mark the occasion, prayers of all religions were conducted.
