Participantswill receive a globally recognized certificate from Digithon and UTD, said TITA founder and global president Sundeep Kumar Makthala.

Announcing the programme, Makthala said organizations have begun classifying cybersecurity jobs as essential or as critical functions. “This is the right time for students and working professionals to look for career prospects in the cybersecurity industry. One should look at equipping themselves with skills that are mapped to the cyber roles demanded in the industry,” he said.

The roles in the cybersecurity realm include network administrator, junior IT auditor, penetration teaser, security specialist, security engineer, security analyst, threat intelligence analyst, application security analyst, incident response or handler and threat hunter among others.

As per a report by the Centre for Cyber Safety and Education, the unfilled cybersecurity jobsare expected to reach 1.8 million by 2022. The number suggests that the cybersecurity skill gap is going to increase in the next couple of years, Makthala said.
