Training on afforestation to Forest dept staff

G7 to fund fire-fighting aircraft to fight Amazon rainforest fire

The Telangana State Forest Academy (TSFA) Dulapally, here has goes online for training the front line staff of Forest Department. The new  afforestation concepts the Yadadri model of natural forest development and on same lines the “Palle Prakriti Vanam” (PPV) is to be taken up all villages across the state.

            The programs includes two training sessions one session in yadadri model and one session on PPV so that staff learns on technical issues and will be able to guide in implementation. 20 members are being trained in each district. Daily  five  districts are covered.

            The participants include from conservator of forest (CF) to Forest Beat Officer (FBO)  rank officers. In all about 600 staff members are being trained. Primary objective is to give technical guidance at village level implementation.  Sobha PCCF, Dr. G. Chandrashekar reddy Director General CEFNARM and Director TSFA and VVN Prasad IFS Spl commissioner RD are involved in training process. The required notes and literature also circulated on Whatsapp.

Already 300 staff are trained. The staff is participating using their video phone from wherever they are located. This is a new approach for mass capacity building and avoiding travel and off from work and using resources efficiently.

            All the conservators are requested to asses the training requirement for field staff interms of knowledge and skills useful for excellence in their next 2 months field work. TSFA can equip  itself and come back on Zoom in a resource efficient way.

            The Training programme also looks into many enabling factors at village level like nursery, tractor with tanker, manure from sheep, use of agricultural waste, human resource management under MGNREGS, 10 percent green fund, new PR act, and policy support.
