‘Telangana Bhavan’ to Take Shape in Bengaluru Shortly

Preparations for Telangana Bhavan in Karnataka got a boost. Karnataka government issued a directive for the establishment of the building, as an outcome of the fruitful efforts of the Kannada Rastra Telangana Association (KRTA). Karnataka Chief Secretary sent a directive to Bengaluru Tehsildars to allocate one acre land for Telangana Bhavan and make preparation for a detailed project report (DPR). Karnataka Deputy Commissioner has also given directives to the District Collector’s office on the matter.

Stating this today, KRTA Founder and President Sundeep Kumar Makthala expressed happiness over the milestone.      KRTA has been taking several measures for the welfare of people from Telangana living in Karnataka State. The association had met representatives of BJP, Congress and JDS and submitted the proposal to create Telangana Bhavan. When KRTA met former Prime Minister and Janata Dal Secular, party Chief Deve Gowda assured support to the creation of Telangana Bhavan and also promised the inclusion of the same in the party’s manifesto during the elections. Following the polls, when JDS chief H D Kumaraswamy became the Chief Minister, he took a favorable decision for the establishment of the building.

Upon receiving the approval for the proposal, Karnataka State Chief Secretary sent a directive to south Bengaluru, north Bengaluru and Anekal Taluka Tehsildars to scout for a suitable one acre land, prepare DPR and to take suggestions and inputs from KRTA President. Following this development, the State officials have begun the process in that direction. Makthala expressed his gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Deve Gowda and Karnataka Chief Minister Kumaraswamy for making this happen.
