TDP MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao resigns from his post

Former Minister and TDP MP from the district Ganta Srinivasa Rao resigned from his post in protest against the privatization of the Vizag steel plant. He said that he had resigned from his post by protesting against the decision of the union government to privatize the plant. 
He sent his resignation letter to the speaker of the State Assembly Tammineni Seetaram and urged him to accept his resignation from his post only after the implementation of the decision of the central government.  On the other hand, the employees and labour unions held huge amount of agitation protesting the decision of the center. They demanded the central government to immediately withdraw its decision on the issue .
The local ruling YSRCP leaders have also extended their support to the activists . They also held a massive rally in the city.  They took a pledge that they would not allow center to implement its decision.
