RAHUL ADVISES CONGMEN TO SHUN DIFFERENCES AND WORK UNITEDLY

AICC President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday stressed the imperative need for the State Congress leaders to bury differences and work unitedly for the success of the party in the ensuing elections.

On the second day of his visit to the state, Rahul Gandhi had a one to one interaction with over 40 senior party leaders when he sough their plan of action for the success of the party in the 2019 elections instead of airing their grievances and differences. Among the party leaders present were TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy, Batti Vikramarka, Shabbir Ali, Jana Reddy, Renuka Chowdhary, Geetha Reddy, V. Hanumantha Rao, Komatireddy brothers, Ponnala Laxmaiah and others.

As a matter of fact some party leaders like Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, whose Assembly membership has been terminated and yet to be reinstated even after the High Court’s order, had planned to bring to the notice of Rahul Gandhi about the state party leadership failing to strongly take up the issue with the government. Obviously sensing that such matters would be raised during his interaction with the leaders, Rahul Gandhi diligently scuttled such a situation by fore warning the leaders to avoid complaining against each other and instead spell out their plans to counter the TRS strategy at the hustings.

He then apprised himself about the functioning of the TRS Government and the pulse of the people for various programmes being taken up by the KCR administration. He also advised the party leaders to strongly and effectively counter the anti-people policies and failures of the government on various fronts. He also called upon the party leaders to vigorously campaign to mobilise the support of the people, especially the poor, downtrodden and the farmers by highlighting the achievements of the Congress.

Rahul Gandhi also exuded confidence that Congress can come back to power in Telangana if the party leaders unitedly put in all efforts by shunning all differences at all levels.
