KTR ridicules Govt’s move on seeking certificates from farmers

BRS party working president KT Rama Rao today criticised the proposed move of the Revanth Reddy government to receive authentication certificates from the farmers of the State for extending monetary benefits under RythuBharosa scheme.

He said it’s not the farmers who should give the certificates but the CM himself.

KTR spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan in the city. Speaking on the occasion, he said promises had also been made in the election manifesto for the agriculture sector in the State and added that the Congress leaders had also written bond papers during the assembly elections.

“Now the farmers have to give a certificate of authenticity in the villages. I couldn’t have heard a more strange word than this.

After the Congress government came to power, applications have been received from all sections of the society.

One crore six lakh people have applied for the houses, Mahalakshmi, RythuBharosa, Griha Jyothi, Cheyutha and Indiramma schemes.

Shouldn’t this information be with the government,” KTR asked while wondering as to why the farmers are now being asked for certificates?

He alleged that while former CM KCR turned the farmers to command others, the congress leaders were trying to turn them into beggars.

He claimed that not a single rupee had been given under the Rythu Bharosa scheme so far. KTR demanded that Revanth Reddy reveal the number of farm labourers.

He alleged that efforts were being made to sabotage the RythuBandhu scheme
