Disappointed over KCR’s decision for not including her name in the first list of the party candidates, Warangal east MLA Konda Surekha held a press conference on Saturday at Somajiguda. She criticized saying it as a big insult for a BC woman in Telangana. Konda Surekha demanded an explanation from CM KCR for putting her name on hold in the list. Surekha said that Telangana is the only government which does not have a woman minister in the cabinet.
She also asked the chief minister to explain as to why the government has not announced the names of woman MLAs. She said that she wanted to wait for three more days and she is going to write an open letter to the party and announce the decision before the media. She said that though she had left Parakala by listening to KCR’s words, she won as the Warangal east MLA in 2014 elections by a majority of 50,000 votes and did her best to improve the constituency.
