KLH Hyderabad Campus Adopts Village for Sustainable and Positive Change in Society

 KLH Hyderabad campus of KL Deemed to be University is delighted to announce its latest initiative under the Village Adoption Program. In its pursuit of creating socially responsible leaders, a program was conducted through its NSS wing as part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), representing its dedication to address developmental challenges and empowering disadvantaged sections of society. As a tangible expression of this commitment, KLH Hyderabad campus has officially adopted Nakkalapalle village in Moinabad (Mandal), Ranga Reddy district.

Over 200 enthusiastic students participated to shoulder the responsibility and commenced a pivotal journey to Nakkalapalle village. Their mission was to collaboratively seek solutions to the challenges faced by the residents and to bring about positive change in the lives of those in need.

During their visit to Nakkalapalle village, the students actively participated in various initiatives, including the “SwacchBharath” mission, tree planting, and awareness rallies on health, hygiene, and sustainable environmental practices. Their dedication and enthusiasm have been met with heartfelt appreciation from the villagers, including Ms. Swapna Anjaiah Goud, the Village Sarpanch, and Ms. Priyanka, the Village Secretary. The residents of Nakkalapalle village see KLH Hyderabad as a catalyst for transforming their community into a model of sustainable development.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.G.PardhaSaradhiVarma, Vice Chancellor, KL  Deemed to be University stated, “The University has initiated Community Outreach and Engagement Programs designed to sensitize students to a wide array of social, economic, developmental, and environmental issues at the grassroots level. Such programs aim to equip students with the skills to provide solutions to challenges faced by rural communities. I commend both the villagers and our students for their dedicated efforts in transforming villages and making a substantial difference in the lives of those in need through these multifaceted social immersive internships.” He further emphasized that KLH Hyderabad’s dedication to community engagement is intricately linked to their vision of providing holistic education. The university encourages students to participate in social immersive internships and learning programs, aiming to instill qualities such as empathy, leadership, and a profound sense of social responsibility in our students.

Under the supervision of Dr. A. Ramakrishna, Principal of KLH Aziz Nagar campus, Dr. M.P. Mallesh, the KLH NSS Unit Officer, Dr. G. BhavaniSushma, Dr. B. Chandrasekhar, along with student NSS Coordinators Sai Lakshman, Rishanth Reddy, Mehak Goyal, and N. Jahnavi and other faculty members, have played pivotal roles in ensuring the success of this endeavor.

KLH Hyderabad’s adoption of Nakkalapalle village is a testament to its commitment to holistic education and community enrichment. Education should extend beyond the classroom, and initiatives like the Village Adoption Program reflect this belief.
