Justice Arup Goswami sworn in as AP Chief Justice

Justice Arup Goswami was sworn in as the Chief Justice (CJ) of the   Andhra Pradesh High Court of the state today. The governor of the state Biswab Bushan Harichandan administered the oath of office to the chief justice . The ceremony was held at Tummalapally Kala Kshetram in Vijayawada.  The Chief Minister of the state YS Jaganmohan Reddy also attended the swearing in ceremony.  The CM later also participated in a tea session with the CJ. The Chief Secretary of the state  Adityanath Das, some judges of the high court, MPs and other officials also toon part in the ceremony.
            Justice Goswami was transferred from Sikkim High Court a few days ago.  He replaced JK Maheswari who has been posted as the Chief Justice of Sikkim High Court.
