Hon’ble Governor, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, launched the Y20 India Celebrations at the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) Campus in Hyderabad.
The Y20 India celebrations, marking the India’s G20 Presidency, were first-of-its- kind in the country launched in the EFLU by the Governor.
During the event, the Governor advised the students to approach obstacles as opportunities and face them head-on in order to emerge stronger.
She encouraged the students to practice yoga regularly and take part in sports to become stronger in all aspects.
As a part of the Y20 India Celebrations, the Governor presented the cash prizes and certificates to the winners and participants of the elocution competition.
Speaking on occasion, Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, EFLU, and Member, UGC, New Delhi, stressed the importance of sports, yoga, and cultural activities during campus life.
He further added that it was high time that we harness India’s youthful demographic advantage to emerge as a strong and self-reliant country.
Later, the Governor took part in the Meet A Leading Light (MALL), an informal interactive session with the students.
The Governor responded to a variety of questions posed by the enthusiastic students.
The Y20 India Celebrations at EFLU were attended by a large number of students, faculty, staff, and senior academic administrators.
