Give compensation to crops loss: CPM

CPM leader BV Raghavulu today demanded suitable compensation for farmers whose crops were lost due to heavy rains, and floods in Telangana.

He visited ruined crops at Chelpur village of Huzur Nagar in Karim Nagar district. Later he criticised the state government for not keen on assuring the farmers of necessary compensation.

The crops were heavily lost and the farmers are caught in panic,  he said. Despite this the government assessment shows less loss of crops he alleged.

Raghavulu has asked for suitable compensation to all farmers irrespective of the insurance. The government has to build houses for the people who lost them due to rains he said.

The CPM leader accused the government of ignoring the poor of giving them two bedroom houses. The government should announce financial aid to the farmers without any further delay,  he added.
