EFLU celebrates three years of National Education Policy 2020

The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) on Saturday celebrated the three years of the National Education Policy 2020. The transformative policy came into force on July 29 in the year 2020

The University has organised the live telecast of the inaugural event of the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam, New Delhi, where the Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi delivered the speech as the chief guest.

It may be noted that the EFL University is one of the frontrunners in implementing the NEP-2020 by revising the existing programmes and introducing new programmes at the Undergraduate, Postgraduate and PhD levels, and by initiating a host of other measures in the spirit of this path-breaking education policy.

Promoting multidisciplinary and holistic approach in all the disciplines, while joining the Academic Bank of Credits and National Digi Locker at the national level are also formed part of the initiatives related to the implementation of the NEP-2020 in the EFLU.

Prof. E. Suresh Kumar, Vice Chancellor, EFLU, and Member, UGC, New Delhi, said that the EFLU, as mandated by the Ministry of Education, has also prepared the blue print for the effective implementation of the NEP-2020 for 11 States and one Union Territory.

He stated that the effective implementation of the NEP-2020 will ensure the training of students as the global citizens with 21st Century skills and create a vibrant, innovative, practical and vocational skill sets, and research-oriented, learner-centric education system in our country.

Senior academic administrators, faculty members, students, and non-teaching staff took part in large numbers at the screening of the live telecast of the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam in the University.
