A couple has lost their life after meeting with a road accident at Abdullapurmet area of the city today. They have been identified as police detective inspector Laxman and his wife Jhansi .
Laxman is discharging his duties at Sultanbazar police station. The incident took place when Jhansi, who was driving a car at the time of the accident hit a parked lorry from behind. Death was instant to the couple as the car hit the lorry at a very high speed.
The eight year old son of the couple has escaped the accident unhurt . The couple was coming to the city from Suryapet. The police have registered a case in the incident and are investigating the matter.
