TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today greeted his daughter Kavitha on her victory in MLC by-poll in Nizamabad segment.
She called on KCR at Pragati Bhavan here along with minister V Prashanth Reddy and other leaders of Nizamabad district after the poll results came out. The Chief Minister appreciated them all for collective efforts to win the polls.
Kavitha today won local bodies MLC polls in Nizamabad with thumping majority, while national parties – the Congress and the BJP candidates lost the polls. She got 728 votes out of 823 in the two rounds of counting while the Congress and the BJP failed to get deposits in the polls.
The congress candidate S Subhash Reddy got only 59 votes and the BJP candidate Y Lakshmi Narayana managed to get only 29 votes and 10 votes were invalid according to information.
