The Centre today appreciated Telangana state for achievement of supplying 100 percent potable water to rural areas.
Union Jal Shakti Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhavat in Twitter gave pat to Telangana state for supply of water to villages.
Sgekhawat said that the Centre will soon take up a similar program to provide potable water to rural pockets across the country. The Minister tweeted that Goa followed suit and also achieved similar target to give purified drinking water to its rural people.
The centre has similar plans to give purified waters to villages which are so far deprived of that facility he said. Both Telangana and Goa states have achieved 100 percent HFTC, the union minister said. A total 54 lakhs of households are getting pure water he added
