A 22-year-old engineer committed suicide by hanging himself near Panrutti in Cuddalore city of Tamil Nadu. Blue Whale Challenge game is suspected to be the reason behind his death. He was identified as Seshadri who ended his life at his residence on Tuesday night when his family members were away.
As per reports, the police claim to have seized various books on ghosts and a mobile phone using which he had played the game. The online game demands players to complete tasks given by an anonymous controller over 50 days with the final challenge to commit suicide. Further investigations are going on in this case. The game allegedly led to a spate of suicides in India and other countries last year.
