BJP MLC N. Ramachandra Rao today visited Gachibowli based Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) hospital built by the state government for the treatment of Covid 19 patients. He led a delegation of the party leaders to the Institute. BJP state General secretary G.Premender Reddy and state executive council member Yoganand were part of the delegation.
Speaking on the occasion Rao alleged that the state government which promised develop the institute on a par with Delhi based AIIMS to the central team that visited the state recently , had failed to do so. Citing that the hospital which is meant to accommodate 1500 beds, did not have facilities even to accommodate 100 beds, Para medical staff and doctors. He alleged that the state government was not only showing negligence in the containment of coronavirus but also ignoring the extension of healthcare services to the victims of the virus. He said that there was a need to bring the institute in a full fledged manner like Gandhi hospital. He demanded the state government to set up four more hospitals like the TIMS in the state capital by keeping in view of the rising number of the Covid 19 virus cases.
