The annual three-day festival of Pavitrotsavam commenced at the Srivari temple on Thursday with Pavitra Pratistha.
As part of the ritual, the utsava idols of Sri Malayappaswamy and His consorts were seated at Pavitra mandapam for Homa and vaidika programs. Earlier the utsava idols were given Snapana Tirumanjanam. Later vishesha samarpana was also performed in the evening.
Speaking to media later TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy said Srivari Darshan would continue at Srivari temple following Covid-19 restrictions. He said very soon the humanity across the globe would soon be relieved from pandemic Corona. In view of COVID, Pavitrotsavams will be held in Ekantham on all three days.
HH Sri Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyarswami of Tirumala, TTD Chairman YV Subba Reddy, TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy, Srivari temple Dyeo Harindranath and other officials participated.
