With Gopi’s demise Telangana lost a great painter: CM KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today stated that Telangana has lost a great painter- Gopi who breathed his last.
The Chief Minister has expressed concern and grief at the demise of Gopi who breathed his last at a Gandhi hospital here due to Corona. The CM noted that Gopi has created wonders with his stupendous work and arts for four decades. 
Gopi contributed to rich culture and traditions of Telangana state, KCR noted.
The Chief Minister condoled the death of the famous artist. He also conveyed sympathies to bereaved family members.
Gopi fought Corona for some time with mild symptoms and last the battle. He was 69 years. 
Hailing from previous Mahabub Nagar district, Gopi practiced painting on his own and became famous. Noted film icon and painter Bapu had admired Gopi for his noteworthy paintings.
Government advisor KV Ramanachary who is known to the artist has called up Gopi’ s son. He inquired about the incident and consoled the family members.
Earlier, Gopi’s son Chaitanya called him and sought help for his father facing Corona problems for 10 days. As Ramana chary informed minister KTR ensured him a bed at the hospital on Thursday and death cane in Friday.
Ramanachary condoled the death and Gopi’ s contribution to Telangana culture. Ramana chary also extended sympathies to bereaved. His paintings were famous during 70s and 80s.
Final rites were performed at Mahaprasthanam in Banjara Hills as per Covid norms.
