Union Minister Bandi Sanjay has once again made sensational comments. He warned that if the names of Central welfare schemes are changed by the State government, they would not keep silent.
“Schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Garib Kalyan Yojana will be given directly to the people by the Centre without the involvement of the State government.
We request the State government not to bring the situation to such an extent,” he said.
Speaking to media persons, Bandi Sanjay said they will not do injustice to the poor under any circumstances in the matter of implementation of the welfare schemes.
He said the Centre was giving free rice to all the people. “What’s wrong with the name Garib Kalyan Yojana? Why is the Prime Minister’s photo not put up?” he asked.
He made it clear that they have no objection to the welfare schemes being spent with State government funds in the name of anyone.
“If the Congress likes it, it doesn’t matter if the names of Osama-bin-Laden and Dawood Ibrahim are given after its welfare schemes ,” he said and criticised the State government for its lack of sincerity towards development.
He claimed that the Centre was fully cooperating in the development of the State and added that in the last 10 years, the Centre had spent more than Rs 12 lakh crore. He made it clear that all the development in the villages was done with the Central funds.
He asked as to what was the point of selecting four schemes in one village for the mandal and wondered whether the people of the remaining villages vote for the Congress? He said it was demeaning to benefit one village per mandal by saying that it will benefit all the people of the State.
Stating that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed his displeasure over the Padma Awards being given to only two people in the State by stating that the State government had sent proposals to confer Padma Shri award on eminent personalities like Gaddar, Chukka Ramaiah, Andesri, Gorati Venkanna and Jayadheer Tirumala Rao, he said and made it clear that the Centre would not give awards to everyone sent by the State government and added that it would give awards only to those who are eligible.
At the same time, Sanjay made sensational comments referring to Gaddar’s name.
“The Padma awards will be given to those who have the status. How do we give it to Gaddar? What is his ideology? How can we give awards to those who killed the BJP workers and policemen? He sang songs on the people who killed our party activists.
So how can we give Padma award to such a person? We will not give it to Gaddar ,” Sanjay said. At a time when several Congress leaders, including Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, have expressed their displeasure over the fact that Telangana State has received only two Padma awards, Bandi Sanjay’s latest remarks have become a topic of discussion in Telangana politics.
