Visakhapatnam steel plant workers and staff today offered Palabhishekham to a photo of Telangana IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao for his support against the privatization by the Centre. The workers of the steel plant have served a strike notice to the management that they will go for indefinite protest after March 25. The steel plant workers extended thanks to the Minister of Telangana for his support that he will participate in their protests against the privatization.
It may be said here that KT Rama Rao has said that he will oppose the steel plant privatization. He demanded immediate withdrawal of the privatization of the steel plant. KTR ridiculed Modi government may even privatize the state governments as he proposed to sell PSUs making benefits. He also said that the BJP government in the centre may sell even BHEL, Singareni and others in the state of Telangana. We are not ready to accept privatization by the Modi government, KTR declared. He also asked the AP government to support Telangana in its issues in future.
Also the congress MLA Sithakka opposed Visakha Steel Plant Privatisation. She objected saying that Modi was acting like a salesman by his bid to privatise PSUs. She demanded immediate cancellation of the proposal by the centre.
