KT Rama Rao, Minister, inaugurated the IPLEX 2018, the four day South India’s biggest Plastic exhibition in the city at Hitex. The Inaugural function was graced by Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary, Govt of TS; Hiten Bheda, President of All India Plastics Manufacturers Association; Dr. Prof. SK Nayak, CIPET; Venugopal Jasti, Anil Reddy Vennum and others.
Addressing the gathering KT Rama Rao responded to the request made by Venu Gopal Jasthi, Convenor of IPLEX 2018 and President of TAAPMA (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh Plastics Manufacturers Association), and announced that Telangana Govt will work with TAAPMA to develop Plastics Park at Thummalur in Ranga Reddy District. This park, spread over 110 acres, will attract Rs. 500 plus crores investment and will provide direct employment to 5000 people.

Telangana Government is committed to promote sustainable development by investing in Technology. We will promote aggressively reusable plastic industry. We don’t mind giving more incentives to promote such industries. We will work with TAAPMA towards this direction, he informed.
He started his speech by sharing with audience that Telangana Govt has selected 14 sectors as priority areas to promote investment. Plastics and Ploymers is one of them, Rama Rao said Since the year 2017, the Plastics Industry in the Telangana State attracted Rs 1000crore investment providing employment to 2000 people, the Minister informed
