City Police Commissioner C.V. Anand, IPS, has notified for information of the general public that, in order to facilitate better traffic regulation and management, in view of the 84th All India Industrial Exhibition to be held at the Exhibition Grounds, Nampally, the following traffic restrictions will be enforced from January 3, 2025 to February 15, 2025 from 1600 hours till midnight everyday.
RTC district buses, private buses and heavy vehicles coming from SA bazaar and Jambagh side and intending to go towards Nampally side will be diverted at MJ Market towards Abids junction.
Similarly, RTC and private buses and heavy vehicles coming from Police Control Room and Basheer Bagh and intending to go towards Nampally will be diverted at AR Petrol Pump and BJR Statue towards Abids.
The heavy and medium motor vehicles coming from Begum Bazaar Chatri and intending to go towards Malakunta will be diverted at Alaska junction towards Darusalam and Ek minar, Nampally.
The heavy and medium motor vehicles, including DCM vehicles coming from Darusalam (Goshamahal Road) and intending to go towards Afzalgunj or Abids will be diverted at Alaska junction towards Begum Bazaar, City College and Nayapool.
The heavy and medium motor vehicles, including RTC buses coming from Moosa Bowli/Bahadurpura side and intending to go towards Nampally will be diverted at City College towards Nayapool & MJ Market.
In view of the All India Industrial Exhibition, the commuters are requested to avoid the route of MJ Market – Gandhi Bhavan – Nampally junction especially between 4 pm and 12 midnight everyday till February 15, 2025 and take alternative routes to reach their destination.
The citizens intending to visit the Exhibition are requested to avail the public transport facilities like RTC buses and Metro Rail services (available till 11.30 p.m. on weekdays and 12 midnight on weekends and public holidays) and help in reducing traffic congestion in the surroundings of Exhibition Ground.
The visitors to the Exhibition are advised to avoid crossing the road as it can be dangerous. They are advised to use the Gandhi Bhavan Metro Bridge and Metro Lift/Elevator to cross the road.
Citizens are requested to co-operate with the police personnel on duty.
