Shweta Basu Prasad married filmmaker Rohit Mittal in a traditional ceremony in Pune on December 13. Shweta tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Rohit Mittal as per Hindu rituals. The couple got married in the presence of family and friends. The actress opted for a Sabyasachi sari for her special day.
She looked beautiful as a Bengali bride in a pink silk sari with a statement choker necklace. Since the wedding was a fusion between Bengali and Marwari traditions, some of her jewellery had a Rajasthani touch to it. On the other hand, the groom Mittal too looked dapper, clad in a white kurta-pyjama that he teamed with a black sherwani along with a beige turban.
The pre-wedding celebrations began with an Aiburobhat ceremony (Bengali bridal shower). This was followed by a fun-filled Mehendi ceremony, which had the guests and the couple grooving to the music.
