Serena Williams and Bianca Andreescu have reached the final of the US Open. Serena defeated Elina Svitolina of the Ukraine 6-3, 6-1 while Canadian Andreescu beat Belinda Bencic of Switzerland 7-6, 7-5 in the semifinals played this morning. The 37-year-old American, Serena Williams made her US Open debut in 1998, drew level with Chris Evert for the most wins in tournament history after advancing to a 33rd major final.
Both the Men’s single’s semi-finals are slated for early in the morning tomorrow. Second seed Rafael Nadal will play Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the first semis for a berth in the final. Nadal advanced to the semis defeating over Argentine 20th seed Diego Schwartzman yesterday. In the other semi-final, D.Medvedev will take on G.Dimitrov.
