At the stock markets, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange slumped 383 points, or 1 percent, to close at 38,970, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange plunged 119 points, or 1 percent, to 11,709. Meanwhile, the rupee was trading marginally lower at 69.76 against the US dollar.
