Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup. He has been replaced by young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. The 33-year-old failed to make enough recovery in a fresh assessment of his thumb fracture.
Dhawan was injured during India’s match against Australia on 9th of this month in London. He was initially ruled out of three games against Pakistan on 16th June, Afghanistan on 22nd and the West Indies on the 27th of this month.
