Ration Cards from July 5, pensions to eligible: KTR asks for greenery

MAUD Minister KT Rama Rao today claimed that only Telangana state is doing its best to expand greenery. He participated in 7th phase of Haritha Haram and Palle and Pattana Pragathi at Pedda Amberpet Kalan with Minister Indrakaran Reddy, Sabtha Indra Reddy, and officials and local leaders. Planting a sapling on the occasion the minister called upon the people to plant saplings and grow greenery.

He also said that the government will give ration cards and pensions to other eligible people. Now 41 lakhs of people get pension and we will give ration cards from July 5 and pensions to other eligible people, he said.

Rythu Bandhu,Rythu Bhima given by KCR Government which pushed the Modi Government to launch Kisan help program, he said.

Our state is making a big effort to expand greenery in the country, KT Rama Rao said. He said that the government is spending a whopping Rs 5900 cr for planting as many as 220 crores of plants in the state of Telangana.

The government achieved its goal by expanding greenery to 28 per cent from 23.6 percent and still working, he said.

During Corona pandemic we faced a lot of problems and suffered financial losses, he said. Now that the plants give us oxygen we need to grow more, the minister said. The plants give us oxygen and the time is for the expansion of greenery, he stressed.

Though many people lost lives during the corona period due to lack of oxygen in other states, Telangana did not face such a problem, KT Rama Rao said. This can be attributed to the foresight and steps by the state government. No other state in our country is able to take up such a pious program of green drive and expansion he said.

Our government aims to provide a pollution free and conducive environment for our children. For this people involvement is key at all levels in towns, villages and the cities as well.
