Criticising the comments made by BRS working president KT Rama Rao, who claimed that the public desires K Chandrashekar Rao to serve as Chief Minister once more, Minister for Tourism Jupally Krishna Rao asserted that the citizens of Telangana do not wish to see the BRS government return.
During a media briefing at the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) conference hall on Tuesday, Jupally Krishna Rao highlighted that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao governed Telangana for a decade while accumulating interest payments of Rs 6,500 crore each month.
He noted, “In 65 years, 18 Chief Ministers accumulated a total debt of Rs 65,000 crore, whereas KCR accrued a staggering Rs 8 lakh crore in just ten years. Had KCR resumed his role as Chief Minister, he would have compromised Telangana. Moreover, the BRS president has been accused of siphoning off thousands of crores from contractors under the guise of various projects,” Jupally Krishna Rao emphasized.
” During the tenure of the BRS government, then Ministers and MLAs were not allowed to enter the Pragathi Bhavan and KCR’s farm house in Erravelli village. The BRS government had kept the bills pending for sarpanches for years. No one in the people wants KCR to rule again in Telangana,” he said.
Kasireddy Narayana Reddy, MLA Kalvakurthy and Vamsi Krishna, MLA Achampet, were also present in the media conference.
