Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said he was deeply saddened to learn that a mob had attacked Rangarajan, the head priest of the famous Balaji temple in Chilukuru.
He said that this is an unfortunate incident and strongly condemns this attack. He said that this attack should be seen as an attack on the protection of Dharma and not on an individual.
Pawan Kalyan said that for several decades, Rangarajan has been striving and fighting for the preservation of dharma, heritage traditions and sanctity of temples.
The police should find that the reasons behind the attack on Rangarajan by a group claiming to be members of an organization called Ramarajyam were to be ascertained.
He wanted to find out who is leading the mob and punish him severely.
He said that the Telangana government should take this attack seriously.
He said that Rangarajan gave him valuable instructions for the preservation of Sanatana Dharma.
Rangarajan said that at what stage the program called “Temple Moment” had to be started. He said that he is very keen on the maintenance of Hindu temples and the preservation of dharma.
Everyone should condemn the attack on Rangarajan. He went to Chilukur and visited Rangarajan and ordered the Telangana unit of the Janasena Party to stand by him.
