Olympic silver medallist P V Sindhu has advanced to the women’s singles quarterfinals of the Singapore Open with a straight-game win over Denmark’s Mia Blichfeldt in Singapore today. Sindhu took 39 minutes to beat world number 22 Mia, with a score of 21-13, 21-19. She will next face China’s Cai Yanyan.
