OVERWHELMING RESPONSE FOR GITAM FDP

Receiving an overwhelming response from participants, the five-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Energy Storage’ sponsored by AICTE Training & Learning (ATAL) Academy came to an end with the Valedictory Session, presided by Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. N.Siva Prasad and Prof. V.Vijay Shekar, Dean of Engineering as Chief Guest on 5th February 2021 (the last day). Vote of Thanks was proposed by V.K.Sridhar, Co-coordinator of this FDP. As a fitting finale, the participants were asked to share their experience and learning from the program.

Two eminent speakers from industry, four each from research and academia background have been invited to deliver expert lectures. All the sessions were very informative and thought-provoking. The discussed areas are of great benefit to the participants as the topics match with the academic curriculum.

About 200 participants from 22 states were educated in various technical approaches for energy storage systems and their usage in details. The program has been provided with an interdisciplinary platform for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends and practical challenges. This FDP was immensely useful for them. The research scholars got technical inputs for their research work from the Resource Persons.

Prof. N.Seetaramaiah, Principal, School of Technology, Prof. P.Eshwaraiah, HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. P.Srinivas, Coordinator also took part in the valedictory session.
