The State government today issued an order finalising the modalities for the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards.
The G.O.M.S. No.25 G.O. (I&PR) dated March 11, 2025 for the Gaddar Awards was released by the government as per the promise of CM Revanth Reddy.
The government has decided the Special awards should be given in the names of Paidi Jayaraj and Kantha Rao, who have made significant contributions to the Telangana film industry.
Since the then Telangana government did not give film awards from 2014 to 2023, it was decided to give an award for the best film per year for those years as well.
For the first time in the feature film category, the State government has decided to give awards to Urdu language films as well.
The applications for the Gaddar Film Awards will be made available from March 13, 2025 onwards at the Office of The Telangana Film Industry Development Corporation at AC Guards in the city.
