MLA Seetakka

Minister for Panchayat Raj said that the officials should work freely and fearlessly without succumbing to any pressure.

The Minister held a review meeting on the progress of various programmes in Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments at the Secretariat here on Thursday.

On the occasion, Minister Seethakka issued key instructions to the officials, stating that they should act in accordance with the rules.
“The facts should be reported departmentally and the statistics should not be hidden for the praise of ministers.

Officials should not make mistakes and put the government in trouble,” Seethakka said.

She stated that the process of payment of pending bills has started in the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development departments and Rs. 300 crore NREGA bills have already been released.

Seethakka further informed that the salary arrears of multi-purpose workers have been released and a system of resolving employment issues online in every department should be adopted, similar to the Panchayat Raj department.

“Feedback from parents of children will be taken on Anganwadi services. Similarly, a phone-in with parents program will be organised once a month. The action will be taken against Anganwadi staff based on the opinions of the parents,” she disclosed.

The Minister said the State government is spending Rs. 50 crores, which is unprecedented in the history of Telangana, for equipment for the disabled and a drive will be organised in every constituency and equipment will be provided to the disabled.
