National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is camping in Srinagar, today visited Shopian and interacted with Police personnel and local people. Mr Doval was seen sharing a meal of traditional Kashmiri Wazwan served on the streets by a handful of residents in Shopian, with shuttered shops in the background and a ban on large gatherings in place.
The situation remained by and large peaceful for the third consecutive day today in Jammu and Kashmir. In Reasi district, Government offices and Banks will resume functioning from tomorrow. However, schools and Colleges will continue to remain closed.
