Mumbai is limping back to normal after experiencing its second highest rainfall in the last 45 years. School, colleges and government offices remained closed today though the fury of rain has decreased. Rail traffic was also thrown out of gear and incidents of wall collapses and waterlogging reported from most part of the city.
Rail and road traffic has resumed while air traffic remains affected due to the closure of the main runway. However, Western Railway has cancelled 17 long distance trains while the Central Railway has cancelled 24 mail trains.
