Medak MP Raghunandan Rao today responded to the comments made by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on the caste of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to media persons on Friday, he asked Revanth Reddy to first tell about the caste of his party leader Rahul Gandhi. He said all those who have spoken in the wrong way disappeared in history.
He said Revanth Reddy has no moral right to talk about PM Modi and added that there were 17 BC ministers in PM Modi’s cabinet while noting that Revanth Reddy’s cabinet has only two BC ministers.
He advised the CM to think twice before saying anything about the PM and mocked that Revanth Reddy had just discovered that Modi’s caste had been made BC from OC.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke at Gandhi Bhavan and added that PM Modi was not a BC while mocking that the PM was a legally converted BC.
The CM said Modi was from an upper caste by birth. “After becoming chief minister in 2002, his caste was included in the BCs from the OC. If he is a BC, why didn’t he do the caste census for so many years,” Revanth asked.
He demanded that caste enumeration should be considered in the census if Modi has any sincerity.
