MaxiVision announces its foray into Tamilnadu & Karnataka

MaxiVision Eye Hospitals, one of the largest eye care networks in Telangana & AP, with 25 Super specialty eye hospitals, and over 70 full-time eye care surgeons, have announced their expansion plans to neighbouring states, Tamilnadu, and Karnataka. With over 27 years of stellar practice in the states of Andhra and Telangana, the group is the first choice of quality eye care with superior technology, for the population of these two states.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr.GSK Velu, Chairman of MaxiVision Eye Hospitals said “ MaxiVision is one of the most respected brands in South India with ethical practice and stellar patient care services. With the trust of 5 million patients, the group had plans to expand with the same philosophy to other states of South India. The expansion plan was set back for a while in the process of bidding for Vasan Eye Care, which the company has withdrawn due to various reasons. Reason to go independently as a brand is to preserve the brand ethics, philosophy aiming to give the best care to the patients in ethical standards and affordable treatment charges. Now with our own expansion plans, we are starting off with one Super Specialty eye hospital in Tiruchirappalli, and expanding to other districts of Tamilnadu within the next 6 months. We are fortunate to have the leadership of Dr.Shibu Varkey, one of the leading ophthalmologists in Chennai, with over 25 years of experience and performed over a lakh of surgeries. Dr. Shibu Varkey, as Regional Medical Director, along with his team of 8 other surgeons, and experienced management professionals will head the Trichy Cluster, which will spearhead our aggressive expansion plans in entire Tamilnadu. In phase 2 we will enter Karnataka, and Kerala, along with our organic expansion in other districts of AP & Telangana”.

Mr.Sudheer, Group CEO of MaxiVision eye hospitals, said “ MaxiVision Tamilnadu, the expansion plan is the beginning of an aggressive expansion plan in 2023 to Southern states. MaxiVision will set up Super Specialty Tertiary care eye hospitals, in potential districts of Trichy, Salem, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Chennai, as hub centers supported by spoke Secondary care eye hospitals, around these hubs in Tanjore, Kumbakonam, Perambalur, Erode, Namakkal, Dharmapuri, Tuticorin, Tiruppur, Pollachi, Vellore, and Hosur, within this year. In the year 2023, we will also start our first hospital in Karnataka, in Bangalore. This aggressive expansion plan will add 14 hospitals next year to the group, led by a team of 48 doctors and around 1000 patient care teams to give exemplary patient care in these hospitals. Tertiary care centers will have all advanced technology in eye care, like Higher-end cataract surgeries, Robotic cataract surgeries, Lasik, and refractive surgeries, Vitreo Retina surgical stations, and Diabetic eye care services. All centers will have state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, optical outlets, and pathology services through our group company Neuberg Diagnostics. We are also in the process of engaging key doctors in Bangalore and other potential districts of Karnataka, along with districts in North Kerala, with senior surgeons to head the hospitals in these states. The group believes in operating hospitals, with experienced super-specialty ophthalmic surgeons, who can deliver the best quality vision for every patient. The expansion will help the quality eye care practice of many ophthalmologists, in the region, supported by the best technologies available in the world.
