KTR vows to help weavers

Industries and Municipal Minister,  K T Rama Rao today asserted that the state government will continue  Chenethaku Cheyutha scheme. 

At a virtual meeting with collectors of 13 districts and weavers,  the minister vowed to extend all help to the weavers across the state of Telangana.  Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao is for extending support to about 40,000 weavers in our state,  the minister said.  We have released about arsenal 96.43 crore for weavers even before the Corona spread. 

He instructed the officials to take the schemes to the weavers and get income.  The state is offering Konda  Lakshman Bapuji awards to the best weavers he said and offered the same to the community members.  As per the schemes available the government offers materials with 50 percent subsidy to weavers he, said. 

We are running eight clusters and sought the centre for more to help weavers,  he said.  The weavers loans were waived off and 20550 weavers enrolled in the welfare scheme.  Weavers can compete for logo preparation as the government signed deals with ISB, IICT and UNDP to help women groups and other weavers.
