Kodanda Reddy condemns remarks against Farmers Commission

Chairman of the Telangana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Commission, M. Kodanda Reddy, has expressed strong disapproval regarding speculation about the necessity of the Commission in Telangana.

In a statement released on Sunday, he emphasized that the Commission serves as a vital link between farmers and the State government, focusing on the welfare of farmers.

Telangana is home to approximately 6 million farming families, and the Agriculture Commission operates as an independent entity. Its mission is to advance agriculture and related sectors, significantly benefiting farmers throughout the state, he noted.

Kodanda Reddy pointed out that the Congress party included the establishment of the Farmers Commission in its manifesto for the 2024 Assembly elections, and it was formed shortly after Revanth Reddy assumed the role of Chief Minister, fulfilling that promise.

He further stated that the Commission is dedicated to supporting farmers and implementing significant changes in the agricultural sector to enhance its profitability.
