Indiramma houses for all poor people: Ponguleti

Minister for Revenue and Housing Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has reaffirmed that the State government is dedicated to the construction and provision of Indiramma houses for all impoverished individuals in Telangana.

The Minister unveiled the diary and calendar for the employees of the Telangana State Housing Corporation at the Minister’s Quarters here on Sunday.

During his address, the Minister stated that in accordance with the promises made by the Congress party during the Assembly election campaign, Indiramma Houses will be constructed and allocated to all eligible individuals in Telangana in phases over the next four years.

“The State government is operating in alignment with the expectations of the populace. Consequently, employees should conduct their work in harmony with the government’s initiatives,” he emphasised.

The Minister alleged that the previous BRS government had significantly diminished the housing department, which was tasked with constructing homes for the economically disadvantaged, and had ultimately dissolved the department while integrating its personnel into other agencies.

In this regard, the current Congress government has initiated measures to rejuvenate this department and has established the essential mechanisms for selecting beneficiaries, as well as overseeing the construction and management of housing projects, he pointed out.

Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy emphasised that the Housing Corporation has been reinforced through the reappointment of 326 employees, and the present government is continuously striving to improve the lives of all workers within the Congress framework.

Employees’ Association State President Gavva Ravinder Reddy, General Secretary Boggula Venkata Ramireddy and others participated in the programme.
