The Indian men’s pair in Badminton Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have stormed into men’s doubles finals at the Thailand Open in Bangkok. They registered a hard-fought win over Korean combo of Ko Sung Hyun and Shin Baek Cheol 20-22,24-22, 09-21 in the semifinals today. Satwiksairaj and Chirag held their nerves to clinch the first game before showcasing a nail-biting second game.
The decider game, however, was a cakewalk for the Indian duo as Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty took a 9-point lead at the mid-game break. Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will take on Junhui Li and Yuchen Liu of China in the finals tomorrow morning.
