India women beat New Zealand in 2nd ODI, clinch series

Indian women defeated New Zealand by eight wickets in the second ODI to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday. Batting first, the White Ferns managed to score 161 runs in 44.2 overs. New Zealand skipper Amy Satterthwaite top-scored for her side with 71 runs off 87 balls.

Her knock was inclusive of nine fours. The next batter for the hosts was Leigh Kasperek with 47-ball 21 runs. Chasing a victory target of 162, the visitors took just 35.2 overs to reach the target. India have now taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
