India beat Australia by 6 wickets in 3rd T20, level series 1-1

India beat Australia by six wickets in the third and final Twenty20 International at Sydney on Sunday and levelled the series 1-1. In reply to Australia’s 164 for 6 in the stipulated 20 overs, India finished with 168 for 4. Chasing 165, skipper Virat Kohli led from the front as he scored his 19th T20I fifty to take India to a win.

Kohli top scored with 61 and remained unbeaten. Earlier, Rohit Sharma contributed 23 and Shikhar Dhawan 41. India bounced back after the hosts got off to a strong start. Krunal Pandya took 4 wickets, while Kuldeep Yadav bagged one.

India were denied a prospect of an eighth straight T20I series win by rain at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. India will now go into the four-Test series and three ODIs against the Kangaroos on a positive note.
