India beat Australia by 6 wickets in 1st ODI in Hyderabad

MS Dhoni produced yet another match-winning performance on Saturday as he led India to a 6-wicket win over Australia in the first one-day international in Hyderabad. Dhoni was ably supported by Kedar Jadhav in the run chase of 237 at the Rajiv Gandhi International stadium in Uppal. India rode on Dhoni’s unebeaten 59 and Jadhav’s 81 not out to reach the target of 237 in 48.2 overs after they restricted the Aussies to 236 for 7 in the first innings.

Electing to bat, Australia scored 236 for 7 in the stipulated 50 overs. Khawaja top scored for Australia with 50 and their star batsman in the second Twenty20 match who scored a century in just 55 balls, G.J.Maxwell was out for 40. For India, Mohammed ShamiKuldeep Yadav and Jaspreet Bumrah claimed 2 wickets each.  Jadhav scaled 1 wicket.  Australia has recently won the two-match Twenty20 series against India in their current tour.
